Managing Director / Information Security Manager - Mr. Sternbach provides data processing, application development, systems and networking support for the Ferncliff team. As part of Fenclifff’s subcontracting duties for the FDIC, Mr. Sternbach has created various software applications for pricing, pooling, loss projection and valuation of FDIC assets. He has also developed due diligence software for capturing and reporting of FDIC loan data and is an integral part of the valuation team.
Mr. Sternbach spent over 18 years as Lead Systems Programmer / Engineer for Walter Investment Management Corporation and Hanover Capital Mortgage Holdings, Inc. Mr. Sternbach has extensive knowledge in application development, systems design and database programming. He created software to manage Hanover’s subordinate RMBS portfolios and for data analysis of whole loan mortgage portfolios, which feature extensive reporting capabilities as well as powerful quality control tools. He is an expert on ETL / data conversion and database programming, being able to normalize data from virtually any data source.
Before joining Hanover, Mr. Sternbach worked as an independent computer consultant where he provided systems and network support for small NYC based businesses. Prior to this, he worked for Equitable Life Assurance in their pension financial management group where he developed software for the modeling of assets and liabilities, financial and investment analysis, treasury cash management and financial accounting. Mr. Sternbach holds both a BS and MS degree in Applied Mathematics from SUNY at Stony Brook and also has an MBA in Finance from Long Island University.
